The Boeing 737/800 , ideal for charter flights

KEVELAIR

The Boeing 737/800 , ideal for charter flights

The Boeing 737/800 is available in many cabin and engine versions, but today it is the most suitable medium-haul aircraft in terms of autonomy and comfort on board for passengers; widely used around the world, it is highlighted for its high reliability and reasonable operating costs.

As the direct competitor of the Airbus A320, it has a greater range of action and can be deployed on a high-density 189-seat cabin.

Kevelair regularly charters this aircraft because it perfectly matches the expectations of our customers. On sports trips or incentive flights, we generally use the entire cabin; on the oil flights which are relatively long in flight time, we put only about fifty passengers on board who lie down (night flights); Finally, pilgrimages flights, the central aisle facilitates the handling of wheelchairs.

Belonging to the Boeing 737 family, the first of which was launched in 1967, the Boeing 737-100, it is considered a new generation in the 1990s. We are talking about “Next Generation” just like the Boeing 737-700 series.

Less fuel-intensive than the first generations, it is also powered by new engines to improve its performance and runway autonomy. Regular airlines find it quickly attractive because its 189-seat cab provides greater performance. Some companies like Ryanair only own this series of airliners.

Today, this device is common in charter companies because the demands of tour operators and travel agencies in medium-haul involve a good availability seats.

Its main competitor, however, remains the Airbus A320 which has a version of 180 seats in general.

Emirates launches world’s longest regular non-stop flight from Dubai to Panama

The Emirates Boeing 777-200LR’s will cover a distance of approximately 8,580 miles carrying 256 passengers, eight in First Class, 42 in Business, and 216 in EconomyEmirates
Dubai-based Emirates have announced it will begin operating the world’s longest non-stop regular flight path. The daily direct service from Dubai, in the UAE, and Panama City, on the Pacific Coast of Central America is set to begin on 1 February, 2016.

The new route will take an incredible 17 hours and 35 minutes heading west over North Africa and the Atlantic Ocean. The Boeing 777-200LR aircraft will cover a distance of approximately 8,580 miles (13,800 kilometres) carrying 256 passengers, eight in first class, 42 in business, and 216 in economy.

The flight will take the crown of longest non-stop regular flight in the world away from the Qantas Airways service between Sydney and Dallas, which takes 16 hours and 55 minutes covering a distance of 8,578 miles (13,804 kilometres). Last year, Singapore Airlines ended its non-stop flights from Singapore to New York, a 19-hour marathon that covered 10,377 miles (16,700 kilometres) on a four-engine Airbus A340-500.

Emirates also plan to launch a Auckland to Dubai route with an estimated flight time of 17 hours and 15 minutes approximately 8,800 miles (14,162 kilometres) on 1 March. But both will pale into insignificance to plans by Qatar Airways to launch a non-stop route between Doha and Auckland. Should the new route go ahead, the 9,034 mile (14,538 kilometres) journey will take an estimated 18 hours and 34 minutes.

The Dubai–Panama route plans to carry up to 15 tons of cargo transporting key imports to Panama, including pharmaceuticals, machine products and electronics. The first flight, Emirates EK251, will depart Dubai at 8.05am and arrive in Panama City at 4.40pm daily. And the return flight, EK252, will leave Panama City at 10.10pm, arriving in Dubai at 11.55pm the next day.
Panama Vice President Isabel Saint Malo de Alvarado, said: “New doors to the country will open with a direct connection to the Middle East, a strong and thriving region with great synergies to both Panama and Latin America.”

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, added: “Panama City will be our first destination gateway in Central America, providing a convenient option for our passengers travelling from or through our global hub in Dubai and onward to destinations throughout Central America, the Caribbean and the northern part of South America.”

The safest Airlines for 2016

Following Airlines rating , please find below the safest Airlines for this new year starting !

AirlineRatings.com, the world’s only safety and product rating website, which was launched in June 2013, has announced its top twenty safest airlines and top ten safest low cost airlines for 2016 from the 407 it monitors.

Top of the list for the third year is Australia’s Qantas, which has a fatality free record in the jet era – an extraordinary record. Making up the remainder of the top twenty in alphabetical order are: Air New Zealand, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airlines, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Finnair, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airline System, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.

AirlineRatings.com’s rating system takes into account a range of factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies and lead associations as well as government audits and the airline’s fatality record. AirlineRating.com’s editorial team, one of the world’s most awarded and experienced, also examined each airline’s operational history, incident records and operational excellence to arrive at its top twenty safest airlines.

The AirlineRatings.com top twenty have always been at the forefront of safety innovation and launching of new aircraft and these airlines have become a byword for excellence. Responding to public interest, the AirlineRatings.com editors also identified their top ten safest low cost airlines.

They are in alphabetical order: Aer Lingus, Flybe, HK Express, Jetblue, Jetstar AustraliaThomas Cook, TUI Fly, Virgin AmericaVolaris and Westjet.

Unlike a number of low cost carriers, these airlines have all passed the stringent International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and have excellent safety records.
Of the 407 airlines surveyed, 148 have the top seven-star safety ranking but almost 50 have just three stars or less. There are 10 airlines with only one star and these airlines are from Indonesia, Nepal and Surinam.

In selecting Qantas as the world’s safest airline AirlineRatings.com editors noted that over its 95-year history the world’s oldest continuously operating airline has amassed an extraordinary record of firsts in operations and safety and is now accepted as the industry’s most experienced carrier.

The Australian airline has been a leader in: the development of the Future Air Navigation System; the Flight Data Recorder to monitor plane and later crew performance; automatic landings using Global Navigation Satellite System as well as precision approaches around mountains in cloud using RNP. Qantas was the lead airline with real time monitoring of its engines across its fleet using satellite communications, which has enabled the airline to detect problems before they become a major safety issue.
World’s scariest landing
Last year was a disturbing year for airline safety with some tragic and bizarre accidents such as the high profile GermanWings and Metrojet disasters. However according to Aviation-Safety.net data, the 16 accidents in 2015 with 560 fatalities were below the 10-year average of 31 accidents and 714 fatalities. Last year was also a significant improvement over 2014 when there were 21 fatal accidents with 986 fatalities.

Balancing these numbers the world’s airlines carried a record 3.6 billion passengers on 34 million flights in 2015.

Flashback 50 years and there were a staggering 87 crashes killing 1,597 when airlines carried only 141 million passengers – 5 per cent of today’s number.
WHAT DID WE DO BEFORE IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT TO PASS THE TIME?
